Over the past 3 years, I have had the privilege of taking COMM 260, COMM 360, and COMM 465.
In COMM 260, News Writing and Reporting , we focused on writing articles, and learning news values, as well as legal and ethical challenges that may arise when reporting the news.
COMM 360, is radio class, in which we learned how to write "readers" and newscast specific to the radio format. We learned, reporting, writing, producing and presenting radio news programs, focusing on the development of news judgment and writing skills.
COMM 465, which is Television Reporting, we learned how to put everything all together for television news reporting and production. I can now say I am proficient at editing in Adobe Premiere, after taking this class.
This Semester: I am now in COMM 480, The Centre County Report, which is a professional class. I have had the opportunity to be in different roles. I was an anchor for 4 weeks, a reporter, social media producer, teleprompter operator, and on playback. I am extremely grateful for all of these experiences.
